The Orlando Prescription Fraud Unit has developed the “Rx Fraud” Web site to show photos of individuals who have recently been arrested on prescription fraud charges. This site is designed to be useful for pharmacies and other agencies to identify possible suspects.
During 2005, more than half of the Federally-sentenced defendants in the middle district of Florida committed a drug offense. Approximately 48% of the drug cases involved powder cocaine. As of August 2006, there were 3 drug courts in Orlando that had been operating for more than 2 years. There were no additional drug courts in operation or being planned in Orlando at that time.
